NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 2 9th November, 2001

S.O.1185 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred

by sub-section (1) of Section 218 of the Merchant Shipping

Act 1958 (44 of 1958) read with rules 3 and 4 of the National

Welfare Board for Seafarer's Rules. 1963, the Central

Government hereby makes the following amendments in

the notification of the Government of India in the then

Ministry of Surface Transport (Shipping Wing), No. S.O.

707(E) dated the 31st July, 2000, namely :—

In the said notification—

(a) against serial No. 1, for the words "Minister of

Surface Transport", the words "Minister of

Shipping" shall be substituted;

(b) against serial No. 2, for the words "Minister of

State in the Ministry of Surface Transport",

the words "Minister of State in the Ministry

of Shipping" shall be substituted;

(c) against serial No. 10, for the words and letters

"Shri B.M. Ghildiyal", the words and letter

"Shri S. Hajara" shall be substituted;

(d) against serial No. 11, for the words and letters

"Capt. N.A. Hiranandani", the words and

letters "Capt E.B. Pereira" shall be substituted;

(e) against serial No. 13, for the words and letters

"Dr. Leo Barnes", the words and letters 'Dr.

Shanti Patel", shall be substituted;
