NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 5th December, 2001

s.o. H97(ty— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 61 of the Wild Life

(Protection) Act, 1972 (53 of 1972), the Central Government, being of the opinion that it is

expedient so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in Schedule I and Schedule

IV of the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette,

namely:-

1.

In Schedule I to the said Act, -

(a)

in Part IIA relating to "Fishes", for serial number 2 and the entry relating thereto, the

following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely:-

"2. Shark and Ray

(i)

Anoxypristis cuspidata

(ii)

Carcharhinus hemiodon

(iii)

Glyphius gangeticus

(iv)

(v)

(b)

and the entries shall be substituted, namely:-
