ELECTION OF TWO DIRECTORS

Thiruvananthapuram, the 19th November, 2001

NOTICE is hereby given that the tenure of the Office

of Shri P.O. Yatheendra Mohan and Shri K P. Thomas,

Directors of the Bank elected u/s 25(1 )(d) of the State Bank

of India (Subsidiary Banks) Act, 1959, will expire on 30th

January, 2002. It has, therefore, become necessary to fill

up the said vacancies for a period of three years.

Accordingly,

nominations are invited from the

shareholders who arc not disqualified u/s 27 ibid Such

nominations, complete in all respects, must reach the Bank

at its Head Office, Poojapura, Thiruvananthapuram-695012,

on or before the 15th January, 2002. Nominations received

after this date will not be valid.

It is further notified that for the purpose of electing

two Directors as above, a General Meeting of the

shareholders of the State Bank of Travancore will be held

at A K.G. Memorial Hall, Gas House Junction, Palayam,

Thiruvananthapuram-695 034, on Wednesday, the 30th

January, 2002 at 11 A.M (IST).
