RESOLUTION

New Delhi, the 21st December, 2001

No. U-23013/16/01-LW.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Contract Labour (Regulation

and Abolition) Act, 1970, the Central Advisory Contract Labour Board hereby constitutes a Committee to go into the

question of abolition of contract labour in the establishment of Food Corporation of India, Food Storage Depot, Adra

(West Bengal). The composition of the committee and its terms of reference will be as under-:—

2. The terms of reference of theproposed committee would be as follows :—

"To study the working of contract labour system in the jobs/works of handling-cum-transporation of food

grains in the establishment of Food Corporation of India, Food Storage Depot, Adra, (West Bengal) and to

make suitable recommendations whether or not the employment of contract labour in the above jobs/works in

the said establishment be prohibited keeping in view the provisions of Section 10 of the Contract Labour

(Regulation and Abol ilion) Act, 1970.''

3. The Headquarter of The Committee will be at Dhanbad. The Committee should submit its report at the

earliest.
