New Delhi, the 21st December, 2001

No. 42 (RE-2001)/1997—2002

S.O. 1250(E).—Tn exercise of the powers conferred

by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and

Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with paragraph

1.3 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997—2002 (incorporating

amendment made upto 31-3-2001), the Central Government

hereby makes following amendments in the Export and Import

Policy, 1997—2002 (incorporating amendment made upto

31-3-2001).

The following shall be added after sub-paragraph

10.2(1):

10.2(j) : Supply of goods to nuclear power projects

through competitive bidding as opposed to

International competitive bidding.

(This paragraph extends deemed exports benefits to

supply of goods to nuclear power projects

wherein such supplies are effected under

competitive bidding as opposed to international

competitive bidding,)

This issues in public interest.
