NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 22nd December, 2001

S.0.12$4(E).— hi pursuance of rule 200 of the Petroleum Rules, 1976 (hereinafter to be referred as said rules), the

Central Government on the recommendation of the Chief Controller and in consideration of the necessity to import petro-

leum, in public interest, hereby grants exemption from the provisions of rule 16 of the said rules in respect of import of

petroleum, into India by 9ea at the following ports for a period of one year.

The exemption granted shall be subject to fulfilment of conditions or requirements to be complied with under

relevant Acts or Rules made thereunder in connection with importation and handling of petroleun within the limits of port

areas. -
