NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 31st December, 2001

S.O.1283(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred

by sections 6, 8, and 25 of Environment (Protection) Act.

1986 (29 of 1986). the Central Government hereby makes the

following rules to amend the Ozone Depleting Substances

(Regulation and Control) Rules, 2001.

1(1) These rules may be called the Ozone Depleting

Substances (Regulation and Control) Amendment Rules,

2001.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their

publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In schedule V to the Ozone Depleting Substances

(Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000,—

(i) in column (1) serial number 7 shall be renumbered

as serial number 6 thereof;

(ii) in column (5), against serial numbers 1,3,4, 5 and

6 as so renumbered, for the existing entries, the following

shall respectively be substituted, namely :—

"Two years after commencement of these rules".
