NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, thel2th February, 2002

S.O. 194(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section

3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to be the said

Act), the Central Government, after being satisfied, that the lands description of which

are given in the Schedule below are required for the public purpose widening oi

National Highway No.5 in the stretch from Km. 387/700 to Km. 419/200

(Visakhapatnam - Bhubaneswar Section) in the District Khurda, in the State of Orissa,

hereby declares its intention to acquire such lands for the aforesaid purpose;

Any person interested in the land may, within twenty-one days from

the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, object

to the use of the such lands for the aforesaid purpose;

Every such objection shall be made to the competent authority,

I \nd Acquisition Officer, Special Land Acquisition Cell, District Khurda,

a N-2/35, IRC Village, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar-15, Orissa in the Official

G, :ette in writing and shall set out the grounds thereof and the

co petent authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being

heard, either in person or by a legal practitioner and may, after hearing

of such objections and after making such further inquiry, if any, as the

competent authority thinks necessary, by order either allow or disallow

the objection;

Any order made by the competent authority under sub-section (2) of the section

3C of the said Act shall be final; and

The land plans and other details of lands covered under this notification are

available and can be inspected by the interested at the aforesaid office of the

competent authority.

Brief description of the land with or without structure falling within proposed right

of way of National Highway No.5 from Km. 387/700 to Km. 419/200

(Visakhapatnam ~ Bhubaneswar Section) in the District Khurda, in the State of

S.O. 195(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section

3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to be the said

Act), the Central Government, after being satisfied, that the lands brief description

which are given in the Schedule below are required for the public purpose building

maintenance management or operation of the National Highway No.5 in the stretch

from Km. 136/500 to Km. 199/141 (Bhadrak to Kolkata Section) in the State of Orissa,

hereby declares its intention to acquire such lands for the aforesaid purpose;

Any person interested in the land may, within twenty-one days from

the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, make

objection to the use of the such lands for the aforesaid purpose under

sub-section (1) of section 3C of the said Act;

Every such objection shall be made to the competent authority, in
