NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 26th February, 2002

S.O. 234(E),—In exercise of the powers conferred

by Sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Contract Labour

(Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 (37 of 1970), the Cen-

tral Government, after consultation with the Central Advi-

sory Contract Labour Board, and having regard to the con-

ditions of work and benefits provided for the contract labour

and other relevant factors enumerated in Sub-section (2)

of the said section 10, hereby prohibits employment of

contract labour in the work of 'Checking Assistant' in the

establishment of the Metro Railways, Kolkata, with effect

from the date of publication of this notification in the Offi-

cial Gazette.
