NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 28th February, 2002
S.0.264(E).— in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3A of the National
Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1058) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government being
satisfied that for the public purpose the land, brief description of which has been given In the Schedule
annexed hereto, are required for building, maintenance, management and operation of the National Highway^
No. 45 between Chenpalpattu and Tlndlvariam (Km 104/0 to Km 122/0) In the State of Tamllnadu, hereby
declare* Us Intention to acquire such land*; ^

Any person Interested in the land may, within twenty-one days from the date of publication of this
notification. In the Official Gazette, raise objection to the use of the land for the purpose mentioned In this
notification, under sub-section (1) of section 3C of the said Act;

Every such objection shall be made to the competent authority in writing and shall set out the grounds
thereof and the competent authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard, either in person or
by a legal practitioner, and may, after hearing of such objections and after making such further Inquiry, if any,
as the competent authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objection;
Any order made by the competent authority under sub-section (2) of section 3C of the said Act shall be final;
The land plans and other details of lands to be acquired are available for interested persons In the
Dffice of the Competent Authority, i.e. District Revenue Officer, District Villupuram, Tamil Nadu.
