G.S.R. 235(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred b\ section 24, read with section 5 of the Passports Act. 1967 (15

of 1967), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to further amend the Passports Rules, 1980, namely —

„ 1 (1) These rules may be called the Passports (Amendment)) Rules, 2002

(2) They shall come into force with effect from the 1 st day of April, 2002

(a) for serial numbers 1 to 28 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely —

SCHEDULE OF FEES PAYABLE IN RESPECT OF APPLICATIONS FOR

PASSPORT AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

ten years)

RENEWAL OF TRAVEL DOCUMENTS—

Renewal of India-Bangladesh or India-Sn Lanka passport

with a maximum total validity often years after initial validity

of three/four years (the renewal fee will be charged in one

lump sum once only, even though period of validity may be

less than three/four years, depending upon discretion of

Passport Issuing Authority or according to instructions

from Government authorities)

Renewal of Emergency Certificate or Certificate of Identity

MISCELLANEOUS SERVICES—

Additional endorsement or other miscellaneous service on

ordinary passport (not being a miscellaneous service referred

to in entry ten of this Schedule)

Miscellaneous services (including additional booket) requiring

issue of a fresh ordinary passport booklet containing 36 pages

For issuing passport booklet containing 60 pages

Additional endorsement or miscellaneous service on an

Emergency Certificate or Certificate of Identity

Miscellaneous service on an India-Bangladesh or India-Sn Lanka

Passport

An> miscellaneous services (including additional booklet)

requiring issue of a fresh India-Bangladesh passport or an

DUPLICATE PASSPORTS AND OTHER DOUCMENTS IN LIEU OF

ordinary' passport on the ground that it has been lost stolen

damaged, destroyed or for am other such reasons

For issuing duplicate passport booklet containing 60 pages

Issue of duplicate Emergency Certificate or Certificate of

Identity m lieu of Emergency Certificate/Certificate of Identity

on the ground tiiat it has been lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed

or for any other such reasons

Issue of duplicate passport in lieu of the India- Bangladesh or

India-Sri Lanka Passport on the ground that it has been lost,

stolen, damaged or destroyed or for any other such reasons,

(b) Serial numbers 29 to 35 shall be renumbered as serial

numbers 17 to 23 thereof.
