NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 28th March, 2002

S.O. 345(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred

by Section 3 of the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1952

(60 of 1952), the Central Government hereby makes the

following further amendment in the notification of the

Government of India in the Ministry of Home Affairs,

number S O. 441 (E), dated the 8th May, 2000, namely :—

In the said notification, for the existing paragraph 3,

the following paragraph shall be substituted, namely ;

"3. The Commission shall submit its report to the

Central Government as soon as possible but not later

than the 2nd October, 2002. "

Note :—The principal notification, appointing Justice

Nanavati Commission of Inquiry, was published

in the Gazette of India vide number S.O. 441 (E),

dated the 8th May, 2000 and subsequently

amended vide number S.O, 302(E), dated, the

31st March. 2001 and S.O. 971 (E). dated the

28th September, 2001.
