NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, Ilic 17tli April, 2002

s.o.447(E).— m exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A"

of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said

Act), the Central Government, after being satisfied that for the public purpose the

lands, the'brief description of which is given in the Schedule below, are required for

widening of National Highway No.5 from Km. 290/400 to Km. 359.000 (Vijayawada-

Vishakapatnam Section)

and from Km. 2.800 to 29.000 (Visakhapatnam

Bhubneswar Section) in Visakhapatnam District, in the State of Andhra Pradesh,

hereby declares its intention to acquire such lands;

Any person interested in the land may, within twenty-one days from the date of

publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, object to the use of the such

lands for the aforesaid purpose;

Every such objection shall be made to the competent authority, the Special

Deputy Collector (LA), (HNPCL), District Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, In writing

and shall set out the grounds thereof and the competent authority shall give the

objector an opportunity of being heard, either in person or by a legal practitioner and'

may, after hearing of such objections and after making such further Inquiry, if any, as

the competent authority thinks necessary, by order either allow or disallow the

objection;

Any order made by the competent authority under sub-section (2) of section 3C

of the said Act shall be final; and

The land plans and other details of lands covered under this notification are

available and can be inspected by the interested person in the office of the aforesaid

competent authority.
