NOTIFICATION

N™ D^lhi, the 22nd July, 2002

s.o. 78i(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of

India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, number

S.O.195(E), dated the 12^th February, 2002, issued under sub-section

(1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act/I956 (48 of 1956), the

Central Government declared its intention to acquire the lands

specified in the Schedules appended to the said notifications for the

public purpose of four-laning of the National Highway No. 5 in the

stretch from Km. 136,500 to Km. 199.141 (Bhadrak to Kolkata Section) in the

State of Orissa;

And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of sub-

section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, has submitted its report to

the Central Government;'

Now, therefore, on receipt of the said report and in exercise of

the powers conferred by sub-section (1), of section 3D of the said

Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands

specified in the Schedule annexed hereto should¹ be acquired for the

aforesaid purpose;

And, further in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of

the said Act, on the publication of this notification in the Official

Gazette, the lands specified In the Schedule annexed hereto, shall

vest

absolutely

in

the

Central

Government

free

from -all

encumbrances.
