G.S.R. 602(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (VIII a) of Section 2 of the Prevention of Food

Adulteration Act, 1954 (37 of l954), the Central Government hereby rescinds the notification of the Government of India in

the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Department of Health), G.S.R. No 821, dated the 10th September, 1986, published

in the Gazette of India, Part II. Section 3, Sub-section (i), for appointment of Assistant Director General (International

Health) Directorate General of Health Services as the Local (Health) Authorities for the territories to which said Act applies.
