NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 28th August, 2002

S.O. 918(E).—In pursuance of Section 3 of the

United Nations (Privileges and Immunities) Act, 1947 (46

of 1947), the Central Government hereby declares that the

provisions of Article II (Section 7 only) of the Schedule to

the said Act shall apply mutatis mutandis to the Global

Environment Facility (GEF) and to its representatives and

officers subject to the following modifications, namely:—

In the Schedule of the said Act, for the words "The

United Nations" wherever they occur in section 7 of Article

II the words "Global Environment Facility" shall be

substituted.
