NOTIFICATION

S.0.1006(E).—Whereas the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (c) of sub-section

(3) of Section 4 of the Rubber Act. i v47 (2,4 of ii>47) read with sub-rule (3) of ruics .J-,ind 4 oi me Rubber Kulcs, tym, notified

'ihc appointment ofSlin George John. Managing Director of M/s. Thamarappally Rubber Company Limited. Kottayam

(elected by the large growers from the State of Kerala) as member of the Rubber Board vide notification number S.O. 767 (E)

dated 22nd August. 2000.

And. whereas, conscqucul upon his death on 24-4-2002 and a casual vacancy has arisen in the Rubber Board;

And. whereas, the large growers from the State of Kerala have elected Shri A V. George. Director and nominee of

M/s. Thamarappally Rubber Company Limited. Anchcril Bank Building. Kottayam in pursuance of clause (c) of sub-section

(3) of Section 4 of the said Act read with sub-rule (3) of rule 3 oflhc said Rules as member oflhe Rubber Board;

Now. therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (3) of Section 4 of the Rubber Act.

I^lU7 (24 of 1947). read �th sub-rale (3) of rule 3 and rule 4 of the Rubber Rules, 1955. the Central Government hereby notifies

Shri A. V. George as member of the Rubber Board and for that purpose, directs that the following further amendment shall be'

made in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Commerce

number S.O. 767(E) dated the 22nd August 2000. namely ;—

In the said notification, for serial number 7 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted,

namel) .—

"7. Shri A V George.

He shall hold office as a member upto 21 st August. 2003 "
