NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 19th September,2002

S.0.1016{E>.— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways

Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry

of Road Transport and Highways, Number S.O.58(E), dated the 20^th January, 2001, except as respects

things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby authorizes

the officers mentioned in column (2) of the Schedule annexed hereto as competent authority to perform

the functions of such authority under the said Act in respect of the stretch of land mentioned in the

corresponding entry in the column (3) of the said Schedule relating to District and Tehsils,- and villages

mentioned in columns (4) and (5) of the said Schedule respectively, for widening of existing National

Highway No.5 including construction of Bypass in the State of Orissa as specified in the Schedule till

further orders.
