G.S.R. 711(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 12 of the Government Savings Certificates Act, 1959

(46 of I *J59). the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the National Savings Certificates

1.(1) These rules may be called the National Savings Certificates (Vill Issue) Second Amendment Rules. 2002.

(2) They shall corne into force on the diite of theirpublicationin the Official Gazxtte.

2. "hi the National Savings Certificates (Vill Issue) Rules, 1989. in ftile 16, in clause (iii)'ql'Sub rule 4, forthe Table,

the following Table shall be substituted, namely :-

TABLE

^Period from tire date of the .certificate to the date of its encashment

Three years or more, but less than three years and six months

Three years and six months or more, but less than four years

Four years or more, but less.than four yeqrs and six months

Four years and si\ months or more, but less than five years

Five years or more, but less than five years and six months

Five years and six months or more, but less than six years

Amount payable inclusive of interest
