S.O. 236(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Road Transport

and Highways, number S.O. 993(E), dated the 2nd September, 2004 (hereinafterreferred to as the said notification) issued

under sub-section (1) of Section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafterreferred to as the said Act)

and published in Part-II, Section-3, sub-section (ii) of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary dated the 2nd September, 2004, the

Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule appended to the said notification for

the public purpose of laying bypass road to Singarayakonda Village of Highways No. 5 of the stretch from Km. 237/000 to

Km. 274/000 (Chennai-Vijayawada Section) in Prakasam District, in the State of Andhra Pradesh;

And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in "Eenadu" dated the 1 lth October, 2004

and -The New Indian Express" dated the 12th October, 2004;

And whereas objections have been received and the same have been considered and disposed by the competent

authority in his order dated the 20th November, 2004;

And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted

its report to the Central Government;

Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred

by sub-section (1) of Section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the

Schedule annexed hereto is to be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;

And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of Section 3 D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby

declares that on the publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule annexed

hereto char! vect Ahcnhitely in the Central Clnyernment free from all enemnlAranpnr
