NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 24th November, 2009

S.O. 2989(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways

Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby authorises the officers mentioned in column (2)-of

the Schedule arm xed hereto as the competent authorities to perform the functions of such authorities under

the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, in respect of

the stretch of la d specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Schedule relating to

districts, taluks, olice stations and villages mentioned in columns (4), (5), (6) and (7) respectively of the

said Schedule fu r building (widening / four laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of

National Highwa, No. 8D in the State of Gujarat.
