NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 26th November, 2009

SO. 3017.—The following draft of certain rules fur-

ther to amend the Coir Industry Rules, 1954, which the

Central Government proposed to make, in exercise of the

powers conferred by section 26 of the Coir Industry Act,

1953 (45 of 1953), is hereby published as required by sub-

section (1) of that section for the information of all persons

likely to be affected thereby.

Notice is hereby given thatthe said draft rules shall

be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of forty-

five days from the date of publication of this notification in

the Official Gazette.

Any objection or suggestion which may be received

from any person in respect of the said draft rules, before

the period specified above, shall be taken into consider-

ation by the Central Government.

The objections or suggestions, if any, may he

addressed to the Secretary to the Government of India,

Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Udyog

Bhavan, New Delhi-110011.

DRAFT RULES

I. Short title and commencement.—(1) These

rules may be called the Coir Industry (Amendment) Rules,

2009.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their

publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Amendment of rule

the Coir Industry

Rules, 1954, in rule 5, in sub-rule (2), for the words, brack-

ets and figures "sub-rule (3) of rule 8", the words, brackets

and figures "sub-rule (3) of rule 4" shall be substituted.
