New Delhi, the 15th December, 2009

S.0.3214(E).—In.exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of Section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956

(48 of 1956), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the then Ministry of Shipping, Road

Transport and Highways (Department of Road Transport and Highways) number S.O. 1625(E), dated the 28th September,

2006, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession the Central Government hereby

authorizes the Sub Divisional Officer (Sub Collector/Revenue Divisional Officer/Deputy Collector), Karur, Tamil Nadu, as

the competent authority to perform the functions of such authority under the said Act with effect from the date of

publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, in respect of the stretch of land from km. 203/400 to kin. 218/000

(Including bypasses) of the National Highway No. 67 for building (widening) and improvement of the existing highway in

the State of Tamil Nadu, as specified in the Schedule below.
