NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 5th January, 2010

Whereas the Central Government, vide notifications of the Government of India in the erstwhile

Ministry of Surface Transport (Roads Wing), number S.O. 196 (E), dated the 6th March, 2000 and number S.O. 1192 (E),

dated the 3rd December, 2001, issued under Section 11 of the National Highways Authority of India Act, 1988 (68 of 1988)

the Central Government has entrusted the stretches from km. 410.000 to km. 419.000, km. 419.000 - km. 447.000 and

km. 470.000 - km. 476.150 (Purnea- Goyerkata Section) of National Highway No. 31, in the State of Bihar, and km. 447.000 -

km. 470.000 (Dalkhola - Islampur Sub-section 1), in the State of West Bengal to the National Highways Authority of India

(hereinafter referred to as the Authority);

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 7 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956),

read with the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008, the Central Government hereby

levies the fee at the rates specified in columns (3), (4) , (5) and (6) of the following Table, on the Type ofVehicles specified

in column (2) thereof, for the use of the four - lane Purnea - Dalkhola Section from km. 410.700 - km. 472.840 (total length

being 62.14 km.) on the National Highway No. 31 in the States of Bihar and West Bengal and authorises the Authority to

collect, either through its officials or through a contractor, the said fee, namely :—
