NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 5th January, 2010

S.O. 2(E).—Whereas the Central Government, vide notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile

Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways (Department of Road Transport and Highways), number S.O. 1267(E),

dated the 16th November, 2004, issued under Section 11 of the National Highways Authority of India Act, 1988 (68 of 1988),

entrusted the stretch from km. 0.000 to km. 125 000 ( Trichy - Melur - Madurai Section) of National Highway No. 45 B in the

State of Tamil Nadu to the National Highways Authority of India (hereinafter referred to as the Authority);

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 7 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956),

read with the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008, the Central Government hereby

levies the fee at the rates specified in columns (3), (4) and (5) of the following Table, on the Type of Vehicles specified in

column (2) thereof, for the use of the Trichy - Tovarankurichi Section from km. 0.000 to km. 60.950 (total length being

60.633 km.) of National Highway No. 45 B in the State of Tamil Nadu and authorises the Authority to collect either through

its officials or through a contractor, the said fee, namely :—
