NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 18th January, 2010

G.S.R. 37(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred

by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution, the

President hereby makes the following rules further to amend

the Indian Economic Service Rules, 2008, namely :---

(1) These rules may be called the Indian Economic

Service (Amendment) Rules, 2010.

(2) They shall deem to come into force on the

1st day of January, 2006.

In the Indian Economic Service Rules, 2008, —

(a) in rule 6, in clause (b), for the brackets, words,

letters and figures "(pay scale of Rs. 6,500-

10,500)", the brackets, words, figures and letters

"[pay structure of Pay Band - 2 : Rs. 9,300-

34,800 plus Grade Pay: Rs. 4,600 (equivalent to

the pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 7,450-11,500,

up-graded from Rs. 6,500-10,500)]" shall be

substituted;

(b) in Schedule IV, against serial number 7, relating

to Junior Time Scale, under column (5), for the

brackets, words, letters and figures "(scale of

Rs. 6,500-10,500)", the brackets, words, figures

and letters "[(pay structure of Pay Band - 2 :

Rs. 9,300-34,800 plus Grade Pay: Rs. 4,600

(equivalent to the pre-revised pay scale of

Rs. 7,450-11,500, up-graded from Rs. 6,500-

10,500)]" shall be substituted.
