conferred by Section 9 of the Salary and Allowances of

Leaders of Opposition Act, 1977 (No.33 of 1977), the Central

Government hereby notify that Shri L. K. Advani has ceased

to be the Leader of Opposition in the House of the People

with effect from 21st December, 2009.
