NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 2nd December, 2013
S.O. 3546(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways
Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the
Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, number S.O.713(E), dated the 15th March,
2013, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated 15th March, 2013
namely :-
In the Schedule to the said notification,
(1) In Taluk Barkot,-
(i)
In the village Mardang : -
Against Survey number “649/957” under column no. 7, for the entry “Mal Sadharan”, the
entry “Gharabari” shall be substituted;
(ii)
In the village Balita : -
(a)
Against Survey number “655”, under column (7), for the entry “Jalamagna”, the entry
“Mal Sadharana” shall be substituted;
(b)
Against Survey number “470” & “471”, under column number (6) and (7), for the
entries “Government” and “Jalamagna”, the entry “Private” and “Mal Sadharana” shall
be substituted respectively;
(c)
Against Survey number “470/995”, under column number (6), (7) and (8) for the entries
“Private”, “Mal Sadharana” and “0.060, the entry “Government”, “Jalamagna” &
“0.070” shall be substituted respectively.
Any person interested in the land, mentioned in the said Notification may, within twenty one days from the date of
publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette, object to the use of such land for the aforesaid purpose under
sub-section (1) of section 3C of the said Act.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 2nd December, 2013
S.O. 3547(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 A of the National Highways
Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, after being satisfied that for the
public purpose, the land, the brief description of which is given in the schedule below, is required for building
(widening/four-laining, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of National Highway No. 23 on the Stretch of
land from Km. 313.800 to Km. 337.300 (Biramitrapur - Barkot Section) in District Deogarh in the State of Odisha,
hereby declares its intention to acquire such land;
Any person interested in the said land may, within twenty-one days from the date of the publication of this
notification in the Official Gazette, object to the use of such land for the aforesaid purpose under sub-section (1) of
section 3C of the said Act;
Every such objection shall be made to the competent authority, namely, the Tahasildar, Barkot, in writing, and
shall set out the grounds thereof and the competent authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard,
either in person or by legal practitioner, and may, after hearing all such objections and after making such further
enquiry, if any, as the competent authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objections;
Any order made by the competent authority under sub-section (2) of Section 3C of the said Act shall be final;
The land plans and other details of the land covered under this notification are available and can be inspected by
the interested person at the aforesaid office of the competent authority.
