NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 30th December, 2013
S.O. 3907(E).—Whereas by the notification of Government of India in the Ministry of Coal number S.O. 1372 (E),
dated the 27th May, 2013, issued under sub-section (1) of Section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and
Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) and published in the Gazette of India, Part II,
Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 27th May, 2013, the Central Government gave notice of its intention to acquire the land
measuring 158.21 hectares (approximately) or 390.95 acres (approximately) and all rights in or over the said land in the
locality specified in the Schedule appended to that notification;
And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of Section 8 of the said Act has made his report of the Central
Government;

And whereas, the Central Government after considering the report aforesaid and after consulting the Government of
Jharkhand, is satisfied that the land measuring 158.21 hectares (approximately) or 390.95 acres (approximately) and all
rights in and over said land as described in Schedule appended hereto should be acquired.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the said Act, the Central
Government hereby declares that the land measuring 158.21 hectares (approximately) or 390.95 acres (approximately) and
all rights in and over said land described in the Schedule annexed hereto are hereby acquired.
The plan bearing number REV/09/2013, dated the 16th August, 2013, of the areas covered by this notification may
be inspected in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, Jharkhand or at the office of Coal Controller, 1, Council
House Street, Kolkata -700001 or at the office of the of General Manager, N.K. Area, Post Office Dakra, District Ranchi,
Jharkhand or General Manager (Land & Revenue), Central Coalfields Limited, Darbhanga House, Ranchi, Jharkhand or
Chief General Manager (Exploration Division), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited, Gondwana Place,
Kanke Road, Ranchi, Jharkhand.
