NOTIFICATION

Kolkata, the 24th November, 2013

S.O. 3916(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause-3 of the Jute and Jute Textiles Control Order,

2000, I, Subrata Gupta, Jute Commissioner, hereby Finally fix Rs. 3670.45 per 100 bags as the maximum ex-factory price

at which Type – ‘A’ and Type – ‘B’ Jute Bags of the size 94 cm (+4,-0) x 57 cm (+4,-0)/HD., 665gms.(+8%,-6%) mass per

bag, ends per dm, picks per dm., as specified in the BIS Specification IS : 12650 (as amended till date) single Blue Stripe

running along the length of the bag at the centre along with additional identification marking of two consecutive Blue

Warp threads at a distance of about 150 mm away from any one side of the selvedge, dry sewn and conforming in all other

respects to the said BIS Specification, shall be purchased or sold during the month of November, 2013. Every bag is to be

branded with monogram to be specified by DGS&D, Kolkata with the name of the manufacturing mill printed on it as well

as BIS certification marking. The average minimum breaking strength shall not be less than 160 kgf for warp way and 145

kgf for weft way as provided in the aforesaid specification of BIS.

2. The above price is fixed considering JCI linkage of 10% (i.e. mills shall compulsorily purchase 10% of raw jute

from Jute Corporation of India, purchased under MSP operation). Without any linkage of JCI raw jute, the price is fixed at

Rs. 3653.66 per 100 bags for the month of November, 2013.

3. The price fixed under this Notification shall be exclusive of duty of excise, cess payable under Jute Manufacture

Cess Act, 1983 and Sales Tax which shall be paid in addition to the ex-factory price by the purchaser.
