RESOLUTION

New Delhi, the 2nd January, 2014

Amendment to the Guidelines for Encouraging Competition in Development of Transmission

Projects.

No. 15/3/2010-Trans.—The Guidelines for Encouraging Competition in Development of

Transmission Projects had been notified vide Resolution No. 11/5/2005-PG(ii) dated 13-04-2006 and

were amended on 07-07-2007, 10-10-2008 and 02-05-2012 under the provisions of the Electricity

Act, 2003.

The following further amendment is hereby made in the above guidelines.

EMPOWERED COMMITTEE – Para 13 has been substituted by the following :—

“13. An Empowered Committee will be constituted by the Ministry of Power. The

Committee will be chaired by Member (Power System) from the CEA. It shall have

Member (E&C) from the CEA as member. Besides the above, the Committee shall have

representatives from the Ministry of Power, the Planning Commission, the CTU*

and

two experts from the power sector to be nominated by the Ministry of Power.”
