NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 9th October, 2014

S.O. 3060(E).—Whereas, it appears to the Central Government that coal is likely to be obtained from

the land in the locality described in the Schedule annexed hereto;

The plan bearing number ECL/RJML/MOUZA/NOTI/68, dated the 18th January, 2014, of the area

covered by this notification may be inspected in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, District Godda

(Jharkhand), or in the office of the Coal Controller, 1, Council House Street, Kolkata–700 001 or in the office

of the Director Technical (Operation), Eastern Coalfields Limited, Sanctoria, Post Office Dishergarh, District

Burdwan-713 333 (West Bengal);

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Coal

Bearing Areas (Acquisitions and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), the Central Government hereby gives

notice of its intention to prospect for coal in land described in the aforesaid Schedule.

Any person interested in the land described in the aforementioned Schedule may —

(i) claim compensation under section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused

by any action taken under sub-section (3) of section 4 of the said Act; or

(ii) claim compensation under sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act in respect of prospecting

licence ceasing to have effect or under sub-section (4) of section 13 of the said Act for mining

lease ceasing to have effect and deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the

aforesaid land to show the expenditure incurred in respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv)

of sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act,

To the Director Technical (Operation), Eastern Coalfields Limited, Sanctoria, Post Office Dishergarh,

District Burdwan-713 333, West Bengal within ninety days from the date of publication of this notification in

the official Gazette.

Line starts from point number A1 situated at tri-junction pillar of mouza Dakaita (number 44),

Lalmatia (number 43) and Lohandia (number 45), passes along the common mouza boundary of

Dakaita (number 44) and Lalmatia (number 43) and ends at point number A2, situated at the

North-western corner of plot number 636 of mouza Dakaita (number 44).

A2 – A3:

Line starts from point number A2, situated at the North-western corner of plot number 636 of

mouza Dakaita (number 44), passes along the southern boundary of plot number 624 ( road) and

northern boundary of plot numbers 636, 635, 634, 633, 632, 629, 627, 626 and 625 of mouza

Dakaita (number 44) and ends at point number A3 situated at north-eastern corner of plot no. 625

of mouza Dakaita (number 44).

A3 - A4:

Line starts from point number A3, situated at north-eastern corner of plot number 625 of mouza

Dakaita (number 44), passes along eastern boundary of plot numbers 625, 630, 631 and ends at

point number A4 situated at southern corner of plot number 631.

Line starts at point number A4 situated at southern corner of plot number 631, passes along
