Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Agriculture, Department of

Agriculture and Cooperation, Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute, Technical, Group ‘C’ Posts Recruitment

Rules, 2014.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

Method of recruitment, age-limit, qualifications, etc.– The method of recruitment, age-limit, qualifications

Initial Constitution.– The incumbents holding the posts of Agricultural Assistant, Trainer Operator and

Electrician now re-designated as Senior Technician and Motor Driver now re-designated as Technician on regular basis

in pursuance of North Eastern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute, Memorandum No.2-9/2010-Estt.,

dated the 13^th August, 2010, North Eastern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute Memoranda numbers

2-3/90-PF-1677, dated the 19^thMarch, 2013 and 1-1/2008-Estt., dated the 25^th February, 2009 and North Eastern Region

Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute, Memorandum No.2-3/2010-Estt./674/675, dated the 22^nd July, 2010,

respectively, shall be deemed to have been appointed in accordance with the provisions of these rules and their

continuous service in the post immediately before the commencement of these rules shall be taken into account for the

purpose of qualifying service for probation and promotion.

Disqualification.– No person.-

(a)

who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living, or

(b)

who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person,

shall be eligible for appointment to the said posts:

Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law

applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any

person from the operation of this rule.

Power to relax.– Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it

may by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any

class or category of persons.

Saving.– Nothing in these rules shall affect reservation, relaxation of age-limit and other concessions required

to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, ex-servicemen and other special categories of persons in

accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard.
