पु तकालयाC यD के पद से है ; और (ii) रा# $य सं:हालय (;ेणी 3 और 4 पद) भत? नयम, 1971, जहां तक इनका संबंध

सहायक पु तकालयाC यD के पद से है, को उन बात4 के Hसवाय, अधIांत करते हुए, िजJ हK ऐसे अधIमण से पहले Mकया

गया है या करने का लोप Mकया गया है, सं कृत मं ालय के रा# $य सं:हालय, नई द ल मK पु तकालय एवं सूचना

अधकार और पु तकालय एवं सूचना सहायक के पद4 कN भत? कN पOत का &वनयमन करने के Hलए न नHलPखत

नयम बनाते हR, अथाTत् :—

संWDX त नाम और /ारंभ : (1) इन नयम4 का संWDX त नाम सं कृत मं ालय, रा# $य सं:हालय, नई द ल,

पु तकालय एवं सूचना अधकार और पु तकालय एवं सूचना सहायक (समूह ‘क’ और समूह ‘ख’ पद) भत?

नयम, 2014 है।

परJ तु, यद केJ dय सरकार का यह समाधान हो जाता है Mक ऐसा &ववाह ऐसे cयि3त और &ववाह के अJय

पDकार को लागू वीय &वध के अधीन अनुeेय है और ऐसा करने के Hलए अJय आधार हR तो वह Mकसी cयि3त को इस

नयम के /वतTन से छूट दे सकती है।

Hशथल करने कN शि3त : जहां केJ dय सरकार कN यह राय है Mक ऐसा करना आवfयक या समीचीन है, वहां

वह उसके Hलए जो कारण हR उJहK लेखबO करके और संघ लोक सेवा आयोग से परामशT करके इन नयम4 के Mकसी उपबंध

को Mकसी वगT या /वगT के cयि3तय4 कN बाबत, आदेश .वारा Hशथल कर सकती है।

cयावृि0त: इन नयम4 कN कोई बात, ऐसे आरDण, आयु-सीमा मK छूट और अJ य hरयायत4 पर /भाव नहं डालेगी,

िजनका केJ dय सरकार .वारा इस संबंध मK समय-समय पर जार Mकए गए आदेश4 के अनुसार अनुसूचत जातय4,

अनुसूचत जनजातय4, अJ य &पछड़े वगj, भूतपूवT सैनक4 और अJय &वशेष /वगT के cयि3तय4 के Hलए उपबंध करना

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 31st December, 2014

G.S.R. 934(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution and in

supersession of the (i) National Museum , New Delhi, (Class I and II posts) Recruitment Rules, 1963, in so far as it

relates to the post of Librarian ; and (ii) the National Museum (Class III and Class IV posts) Recruitment Rules, 1971, in

so far as it relates to the post of Assistant Librarian, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such

supersessions, the President hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the posts of

Library and Information Officer and Library and Information Assistant in the National Museum, New Delhi in the

Ministry of Culture, namely:—

Short title and commencement. – (1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Culture, National Museum,

New Delhi, Library and Information Officer and Library and Information Assistant (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ posts)

Recruitment Rules, 2014.

(2) They shall come in to force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

Number of posts, their classification and the pay band and grade pay or pay scale. – The number of the said

posts, their classification and the pay band and grade pay or pay scale attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2)

to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules.

Method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications, etc. – The method of recruitment to the said posts, age limit,

qualifications and other matters relating thereto shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the aforesaid Schedule.

Disqualification. – No person, –

(a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or

(b) who, having a spouse living , has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person,

shall be eligible for appointment to the said posts:

Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law

applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any

person from the operation of this rule.

Power to relax. – Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it

may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing and in consultation with the Union Public Service Commission, relax

any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons.

Savings. – Nothing in these rules shall affect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required

to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, the Ex-servicemen, and other

special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this

regard.
