NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 31st December, 2014

S.O. 40(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 3, 4, 5 and 6 read with Section 15 of

the Haj Committee Act, 2002 (35 of 2002), the Central Government, on the basis of nomination received

from the Maharashtra State Haj Committee, hereby nominates Shri Syed Farooq Syed Karim as a member

of the Haj Committee of India under sub-section (ii) of Section 4 of the said Act, for a period up to

6th May 2016 with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette; and for that

purpose makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the

Ministry of External Affairs, number S.O. 1165(E), dated 6th May, 2013, namely:—

In the said notification, for serial number (6) and the entries relating thereto, the following serial

number and entries shall be substituted, namely:—

“(6) Shri Syed Farooq Syed Karim,

Note : The principal notification for appointing the members to the Haj Committee of India was published in

Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide number S.O. 1165(E), dated the 6th May, 2013 and subsequently was

amended vide notification numbers S.O.1453(E) and S.O. 1454(E) dated the 5th June, 2013. Further amended

vide notification number S.O. 2957(E) dated the 24th November, 2014.
