NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 9th December, 2015

G.S.R. 965(E).—In pursuance of the provisions contained in Section 8(1) of the Asiatic Society Act,

1984 the Central Government hereby constitutes a Planning Board (Asiatic Society, Kolkata). This Planning

Board is constituted for the purpose of advising the Asiatic Society, Kolkata with respect to the planning and

implementation of its developmental programmes and other matters concerning the Society.

The constitution of the Planning Board is as given under:

1. Secretary (Culture)

2. AS & FA, Ministry of Culture, New Delhi

3. Direct General, National Council of Science Museums, Kolkata

4. Direct General, Raja Ram Mohan Roy Library Foundation, Kolkata

5. Secretary & Curator, Victoria Memorial Hall, Kolkata

6. Principal Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal

7. President, Asiatic Society, Kolkata

:Member

8. General Secretatry, Asiatic Society, Kolkata

2. The term of office of the Chairman and Members of the Planning Board shall be for a period of four years

from date of this notification.

3. The rules governing the activities of the Planning Board will be the same as notified vide GSR 472(E)

dated 25^th June, 1984 (No. F. 8-16/84-/CH-Desk).
