136(अ).—यत:, दनांक 23 जनवरी 2003 के का.आ. सं. 67(अ), िजसम बासमती चावल क पकाए जाने
से पूव “ यूनतम औसत लंबाई” म संशोधन करने के कुछ !" ताव# के !ा$प वािण& य एवं उ(ोग मं*ालय, वािण& य िवभाग
+ारा िनयात (गुणव,ा िनयं*ण एवं िनरी-ण) अिधिनयम, 1963 (1963 का 22) के अ तगत बने िनयात (गुणव,ा िनयं*ण
एवं िनरी-ण) िनयम, 1964 के िनयम 11 के उप-िनयम (2) के अ तगत यथापेि-त भारत के राजप*, असाधारण , भाग -II,
ख2 ड -3 के उपख2 ड (ii) म दनांक 8 अ4 टूबर, 2015 को का.आ. 2762(अ), के तहत !कािशत कए गए थे ।
और, यत: इससे संभािवत 9प से !भािवत होने वाले सभी : यि;य# से आपि,यां और सुझाव आिधका?रक राजप* म
उ4 त !ा9प आदेश के !काशन क ितिथ से 30 दन# क अविध के अंदर आमंि*त कए गए थे ;
और, यत: उ4 त !ा9प आदेश : यापक !चार के िलए िनयात िनरी-ण प?रषद क आिधका?रक वेबसाइट पर डाला
गया ;
और, यत: उ4 त !ा9प के साथ राजप* जनता को दनांक 21 अ4 तूबर, 2015 को उपलA ध कराया गया था;
और, यत: Bि;य# +ारा कोई आपि, नहC उठाई गई ;
अब, अत: क Dीय सरकार िनयात िनरी-ण प?रषद के परामश से िनयात (गुणव,ा िनयं*ण एवं िनरी-ण)
अिधिनयम, 1963 (1963 का 22) क धारा 6 +ारा !दE त अिधकार# का उपयोग करते Fए, वािण&य एवं उ(ोग मं*ालय,
भारत सरकार, दनांक 23 जनवरी 2009 के आदेश सं. का.आ. 67(अ), म िनिG न लिखत संशोधन करती है, अथात् :-

1. उ4 त आदेश के पैराJाफ (3) म, -
i)
खंड (क) को हटा दया जाएगा;
ii) खंड (ख) को इसके खंड (क) के 9प म Lम दया जाएगा और इस !कार Lम दए गए खंड (क) के ख2 ड म शA द#,
कोM ठक# और अ-र# के िलए 'खंड (क) और उपरो4 त खंड (ख)' हेतु शA द 'यह खंड' !ित" थािपत कया जाएगा;
iii) मौजूदा खंड (ग) को खंड (ख) का Lम दया जाएगा और इसके परंतु क - खंड (ख) को इस !कार Lम दया गया,
िवलोपन कया जाएगा;
iv) ख2ड (घ) को इसके खंड (ग) के 9प म Lम दया जाएगा और इस !कार Lम दए गए खंड (ग) के ख2ड म
शA द#, कोM ठक# और अ-र# के िलए 'खंड (क), (ख) और (ग)' हेतु शA द 'यह खंड' कोM ठक#, अ-र# और शA द# के

शीषक 'िमO ड', कॉलम (2) के तहत Jेड 'बी' के तहत िम. मी. म यूनतम औसत पहले से पकाई गई लंबाई के संबंध म
'6.8' के " थान पर '6.61' कया जाए;
ii) शीषक 'िमO ड सेला', कॉलम (2) के तहत Jेड 'बी' के तहत !िविQ के िलए िम. मी. म यूनतम औसत पहले से पकाई गई
लंबाई के संबंध म '6.8' के " थान पर '6.61' कया जाए;
3. यह आदेश शासकय राजप* म !काशन क ितिथ से !भावी होगा।

ORDER
New Delhi, the 13th January, 2016
S.O. 136(E).—Whereas, draft of certain proposals for amending the Order number S.O. 67(E), dated
the 23rd January 2003 which specified the “Minimum Average Precooked Length in mm” in Basmati Rice,
was published in Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide S.O. 2762(E)
dated 8th October, 2015, by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Commerce, as required
under sub-rule (2) of rule 11 of the Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Rules, 1964 made under the
Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act, 1963 (22 of 1963);
And, whereas, the objections and suggestions were invited from all the persons likely to be affected
thereby within a period of thirty days from the date of publication of the said draft Order in the Official
Gazette;
And, whereas the said draft Order was placed on the official website of Export Inspection Council
for it’s vide publicity;
And, whereas the Gazette copy containing the said draft Order was made available to the public on
21st October 2015;
And, whereas no objections were raised by the persons;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Export (Quality Control and
Inspection) Act, 1963 (22 of 1963), the Central Government, after consulting the Export Inspection Council,
hereby makes the following further amendments in the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of
Commerce and Industry No. S.O. 67(E), dated the 23rd January 2003 namely:-

1. In the said Order, in paragraph (3),-
(i) clause (a) shall be omitted;
(ii)
clause (b) shall be re-numbered as clause (a) thereof, and in the proviso to clause (a) as so
re-numbered, for the words, brackets and letters “clause (a) and (b) above”, the words
“this clause” shall be substituted;
(iii)
existing clause (c) shall be re-numbered as clause (b) thereof, and proviso-clause (b) as so
re-numbered, shall be omitted;
(iv)
existing clause (d) shall be re-numbered as clause (c) thereof, and in clause (c) as so re-
numbered, for the brackets, letters and word “(a), (b) and (c)”, the brackets, letters and
word “(a) and (b)” shall be substituted.
2. In the said Order, in the Schedule -
(i) under the heading ‘MILLED’, under Grade ‘B’, for entry under column (2) relating to
Minimum Average Precook Length in mm” for “6.8” substitute “6.61”;
(ii)
under the heading “MILLED PARBOILED”, under Grade ‘B’, for entry under column
(2) relating to “Minimum Average Precook Length in mm” for “6.8” substitute “6.61”.
3. This Order shall come into force with effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
