का. आ. 149(अ).— जबᳰक, के᭠ ᮤीय सरकार ने, रा᭬ ᮝीय अ᭠ वेषण अिभकरण अिधिनयम, 2008 (2008 का 34)

(िजसे इसके बाद इसमᱶ ‘उ᭍ त अिधिनयम’ कहा गया है) कᳱ धारा 11 कᳱ उप-धारा (1) ᳇ारा ᮧदᱫ शिᲦयᲂ का ᮧयोग करते

ᱟए, अनुसूिचत अपराधᲂ के िवचारण के िलए उ᭍ त अिधिनयम कᳱ धारा-11 कᳱ उप-धारा (1) के ᮧयोजनाथᭅ मु᭎ य ᭠ यायाधीश

का ᭠ यायालय, िसटी सᮢ ᭠ यायालय, कोलकाता को ᳰदनांक 29 अᮧैल, 2011 को भारत के राजपᮢ, असाधारा भाग-II, ख᭛ ड-

3, उप-ख᭛ ड (ii) मᱶ ᮧकािशत 29 अᮧैल, 2011 कᳱ अिधसूचना सं. का. आ. (अ) के ᳇ारा िवशेष ᭠ यायालय के ᱨप मᱶ अिधसूिचत

ᳰकया था, िजसका ᭃेᮢािधकार दाᳶजᳲलग, जलपाईगुडी तथा कूच िबहार िजलᲂ को छोड़कर शेष संपूणᭅ पि᳟म बंगाल रा᭔ य था।

और, जबᳰक, ᮰ी असोक कुमार म᭛ डल, मु᭎ य ᭠ यायाधीश, िसटी सᮢ ᭠ यायालय, कोलकाता, िज᭠ हᱶ ᳰदनांक

16 जुलाई, 2012 को भारत के राजपᮢ, असाधारण, भाग-II, ख᭛ ड-3, उप-ख᭛ ड- (ii) मᱶ ᮧकािशत ᳰदनांक 16 जुलाई, 2012

कᳱ अिधसूचना सं. का.आ. 1591 (अ) के ᳇ारा उ᭍ त िवशेष ᭠ यायालय कᳱ अ᭟ यᭃता करने के िलए ᭠ यायाधीश के ᱨप मᱶ िनयु᭍ त

ᳰकया गया था, अिधवᳶषता कᳱ आयु ᮧा᭡ त होने पर सेवािनवृᱫ हो चुके हᱹ ;

अत: अब के᭠ ᮤीय सरकार, उ᭍ त अिधिनयम कᳱ धारा11 कᳱ उप-धारा (3) के अंतगᭅत ᮧदᱫ शिᲦयᲂ का ᮧयोग

करते ᱟए तथा ᳰदनांक 16 जुलाई, 2012 कᳱ अिधसूचना सं. का.आ. 1591 (अ) का अिधᮓमण करते ᱟए, िसवाय उन कायᲄ के

िज᭠ हᱶ ऐसे अिधᮓमण के पूवᭅ स᭥ पाᳰदत कर िलया गया था अथवा करने के िलए छोड़ ᳰदया गया था, कोलकाता उ᭒ च ᭠ यायालय

के माननीय मु᭎ य ᭠ यायाधीश कᳱ िसफाᳯरश पर ᮰ीमती सुवाᭅ घोष, मु᭎ य ᭠ यायाधीश, िसटी सᮢ ᭠ यायालय, कोलकाता को उ᭍ त

िवशेष ᭠ यायालय कᳱ अ᭟ यᭃता हेतु िनयु᭍ त करती है।

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 15th January, 2016

S.O. 149(E).—Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 11 of the National

Investigation Agency Act, 2008 (34 of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government had, vide

notification number S. O. 952 (E) dated the 29^th April, 2011, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II,

Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 29^th April, 2011, notified the Court of the Chief Judge, City Sessions Court,

Calcutta as the Special Court for the purposes of sub-section (1) of Section 11 of the said Act having Jurisdiction

extending the State of West Bengal except the Districts of Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri and Cooch Bihar for the trial of

schedule offences;

And whereas, Sri Asoke Kumar Mondal, Chief Judge, City Sessions Court, Calcutta, who was appointed as the Judge to

preside over the said Special Court vide notification number S. O. 1591 (E), dated 16^th July, 2012 published in the

Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, sub-section (ii), dated the 16^th July, 2012, has retired after attaining the

age of superannuation;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 11 of the said Act and in supersession

of the notification number S. O. 1591 (E), dated the 16^th July, 2012, except as regard to things done or omitted to be

done before such supersession, the Central Government, on the recommendation of the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the

High Court of Calcutta, hereby appoints Smt. Surva Ghosh, Chief Judge, City Sessions Court, Calcutta as the Judge to

preside over the said Special Court.
