का.आ. 233(अ).—के᭠ ᮤीय सरकार, साधारण बीमा कारबार(रा᭬ ᮝीयकरण) अिधिनयम, 1972 (1972 का

57) कᳱ धारा 17क ᳇ारा ᮧद᭜ त शि᭍ तयᲂ का ᮧयोग करते ᱟए, साधारण बीमा (अिधकाᳯरयᲂ के वेतनमानᲂ और सेवा

कᳱ अ᭠ य शतᲄ का सु᭪ यव᭭ थीकरण ᭭ कᳱम, 1975 का और संशोधन करने के िलए िन᭥ निलिखत ᭭ कᳱम बनाती है,

अथाᭅत् :-

1. (1) इस ᭭ कᳱम का संिᭃ᭡ त नाम साधारण बीमा (अिधकाᳯरयᲂ के वेतनमानᲂ और सेवा कᳱ अ᭠ य शतᲄ का

सु᭪ यव᭭ थीकरण) संशोधन ᭭ कᳱम, 2016 है ।

(2) यह ᭭ कᳱम 1 अᮧैल, 2010 से ᮧवृ᭜ त ᱟई मानी जाएगी ।

(3) यह ᭭ कᳱम उन कमᭅचाᳯरयᲂ को लागू होगी, जो 1 अᮧैल, 2010 को या उसके प᭫ चात् िनगम या कंपनी कᳱ सेवा

मᱶ आए थे, ᳴कतु यह ᭭ कᳱम उन कमᭅचाᳯरयᲂ को लागू नहᱭ होगी, िजनके ᭜ यागपᮢ को इस ᭭ कᳱम के ᮧकाशन कᳱ

तारीख से पूवᭅ ᭭ वीकार कर िलया गया है या उ᭍ त तारीख से पूवᭅ िजनकᳱ सेवाᲐ को समा᭡ त कर ᳰदया गया है ।

2. साधारण बीमा (अिधकाᳯरयᲂ के वेतनमानᲂ और सेवा कᳱ अ᭠ य शतᲄ का सु᭪ यव᭭ थीकरण) ᭭ कᳱम, 1975 (िजसे

इसमᱶ इसके प᭫ चात् “उ᭍ त ᭭ कᳱम” कहा गया है) के पैरा 9 के तीसरे परंतुक मᱶ, “1 जनवरी, 2004” अंकᲂ और श᭣ दᲂ

के ᭭ थान पर “1 अᮧैल, 2010” अंक और श᭣ द रखे जाएंगे;

᭭ कᳱम कायाᭅि᭠ वत करने का िविन᭫ चय ᳰकया है । तदनुसार, 1 अᮧैल, 2010 से िनगम और कंपिनयᲂ के कमᭅचाᳯरयᲂ

के िलए नई पᱶशन ᭭ कᳱम को ᮧभावी करने के िलए साधारण बीमा (अिधकाᳯरयᲂ के वेतनमानᲂ और सेवा कᳱ अ᭠ य

शतᲄ का सु᭪ यव᭭ थीकरण) ᭭ कᳱम, 1975 को संशोिधत ᳰकया जाता है ।

2. यह ᮧमािणत ᳰकया जाता है ᳰक इस ᭭ कᳱम को 1 अᮧैल, 2010 से कायाᭅि᭠ वत ᳰकए जाने से िनगम या कंपनी के

ᳰकसी भी कमᭅचारी पर ᮧितकूल ᮧभाव पड़ने कᳱ संभावना नहᱭ है ।

New Delhi, the 23rd January, 2016

S.O. 233(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 17A of the General Insurance Business

(Nationalisation) Act, 1972 (57 of 1972), the Central Government hereby frames the following Scheme further to

amend the General Insurance (Rationalisation of Pay Scales and other Conditions of Service of Officers) Scheme, 1975,

namely :-

(1) This Scheme may be called the General Insurance (Rationalisation of Pay Scales and other

Conditions of Service of Officers) Amendment Scheme, 2016.

(2) This Scheme shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April, 2010.

(3) This Scheme shall be applicable to those officers, who joined the service of the Corporation or Company

on or after the 1st day of April, 2010, but shall not apply to the officers whose resignations have been

accepted or whose service have been terminated before the date of publication of this Scheme.

2. In the General Insurance (Rationalisation of Pay Scales and other Conditions of Service of Officers)

Scheme, 1975 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Scheme”), in paragraph 9, in the third proviso, for the

words, figures and letters “1st day of January, 2004”, the words, figures and letters “1st day of April, 2010”

shall be substituted.

3. In the said Scheme, in paragraph 9A, for the words, figures and letters “1st day of January, 2004”, the

words, figures and letters “1st day of April, 2010” shall be substituted.

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM

1. The Central Government has decided to implement the New Pension Scheme based on defined contribution in the

Corporation and the Companies with effect from the 1st day of April, 2010. The General Insurance (Rationalisation

of Pay Scales and other Conditions of Service of Officers) Scheme, 1975 is, accordingly, amended to give effect to

the New Pension Scheme for the employees of the Corporation and the Company with effect from the 1st day of

April, 2010.

2. It is certified that no officer of the Corporation or the Company is likely to be affected adversely by the

implementation of the New Pension Scheme with effect from 1st day of April, 2010.

NOTE: - The Principal Scheme was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide notification No. S.O. 521(E),

2. It is certified that no employee of the Corporation or the Companies is likely to be affected adversely by the

implementation of the New Pension Scheme with effect from 1st April, 2010.

का और संशोधन करने के िलए िन᭥ निलिखत ᭭ कᳱम बनाती है, अथाᭅत् :-

(1) इस ᭭ कᳱम का संिᭃ᭡ त नाम साधारण बीमा(कमᭅचारी) पᱶशन संशोधन ᭭ कᳱम, 2016 है ।

(2) यह ᭭ कᳱम 1 अᮧैल, 2010 से ᮧवृ᭜ त ᱟई मानी जाएगी ।

2. साधारण बीमा (कमᭅचारी) पᱶशन ᭭ कᳱम, 1995 के पैरा 3 मᱶ,-

(अ) उप पैरा (4) मᱶ, “1 जनवरी, 2004” अंकᲂ और श᭣ दᲂ के ᭭ थान पर “1 अᮧैल, 2010” अंक और श᭣ द रखे

जाएंगे;

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 23rd January, 2016

S.O. 236(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 17A of the General Insurance Business

(Nationalisation) Act, 1972 (57 of 1972), the Central Government hereby makes the following Scheme further to amend

the General Insurance (Employees’) Pension Scheme,1995, namely :-

1. (1)

This Scheme may be called the General Insurance (Employees’) Pension Amendment

Scheme, 2016.

(2)

This Scheme shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April, 2010.

(3) This Scheme shall be applicable to those employees who joined the service of the Corporation

or Company on or after, the 1st day of April, 2010, but shall not apply to the employees

whose resignation have been accepted or whose services have been terminated before the

date of publication of this Scheme.

2. In the General Insurance (Employees’) Pension Scheme, 1995, in paragraph 3,-

(A) in sub-paragraph (4), for the words, figure and letters “1st day of January, 2004”, the words,

figures and letters “1st day of April, 2010” shall be substituted;

(B) in Note (2), for the words, figures and letters “1st day of January, 2004”, the words, figures

and letters “1st day of April, 2010” shall be substituted.

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM

1. The Central Government has decided to implement the New Pension Scheme based on defined contribution in the

Corporation and the Companies with effect from the 1st day of April, 2010. The General Insurance (Employees’)

Pension Scheme, 1995 is, accordingly amended to give effect to the New Pension Scheme for the employees of the

Corporation and the Companies with effect from the 1st day of April, 2010.

It is certified that no employee of the Corporation or the Company is likely to be affected adversely by the

implementation of the scheme with effect from 1st April, 2010.
