कᳱ उप धारा (1) ᳇ारा
ᮧदᱫ शिᲦयᲂ का ᮧयोग करते ᱟए अिधसूिचत करती है ᳰक चीनी िवकास िनिध अिधिनयम,
1982
के ᮧयोजन के
िलए भारत मᱶ ᳰकसी भी चीनी कारखाने ᳇ारा उ᭜पाᳰदत सम᭭त चीनी पर एक सौ चौबीस ᱧपए ᮧित ᳴Ფटल कᳱ दर
से उ᭜पाद शु᭨क उपकर के ᱨप मᱶ उ᳅हीत और संᮕहीत ᳰकया जाएगा।
2. उपयुᭅᲦ दर

फरवरी,
2016
से ᮧवृ᭜ त होगी और ऐसी तारीख को अथवा इसके प᳟ात ᮧेिषत अथवा सुपुदᭅ
चीनी पर लागू होगी।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 28th January, 2016
S.O. 258(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Sugar Cess Act, 1982,
the Central Government hereby notifies that there shall be levied and collected as a cess for the purpose of Sugar
Development Fund Act, 1982, a duty of excise on all sugar produced by any sugar factory in India at a rate of one
hundred twenty four rupees per quintal of sugar.

The above rate shall come into force with effect from 1st February, 2016 and will apply on sugar dispatched or
delivered on or after such date.

NOTIFICATION

S.O. 259(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Sugar Cess
(Amendment) Act, 2015 (9 of 2016), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of February, 2016 as the date
on which the said Act shall come into force.
