सा.का.िन. 1137(अ).—महाप᭜ तन ᭠ यास अिधिनयम, 1963 (1963 का 38) कᳱ धारा 2 के खंड ( यू) के साथ
पᳯठत भारतीय प᭜ तन अिधिनयम, 1908 (1908 का 15) कᳱ धारा 4 ᳇ारा ᮧद᭜ त अिधकारᲂ का उपयोग करते ᱟए और पोत
पᳯरवहन तथा पᳯरवहन मंᮢालय (पᳯरवहन ᭭ कंध) मᱶ भारत सरकार कᳱ अिधसूचना सं या 488 (अ) ᳰदनांक 24 मई 2000 के
अिधᮓमण मᱶ, इस ᮧकार के अिधᮓमण से पहले कᳱ जाने वाली अथवा छूट जाने वाली चीज़ᲂ के अलावा, के᭠ ᮤ सरकार एतारा
घोषणा करती है ᳰक उ त अिधिनयमᲂ के ᮧयोजन से मुरगांव प᭜ तन कᳱ सीमाएँ िन᭥ नानुसार हᲂगी, अथाᭅत्:-
क. मुरगांव ᭃेᮢ
उ᭜ तर मᱶ – अᭃांश 150 27’ 30” उ तथा देशांतर 730 47’30” पू पर तट पर एक ᳲबदु से अᭃांश 150 27’ 30” उ के
समानांतर पि᳟म ᳰदशा कᳱ ओर उसी समानांतर ᳲबदु के साथ देशांतर 730 32’10” पू तक ।
पि᳟म मᱶ – अᭃांश 150 27’ 30” उ तथा देशांतर 73032’10” पू मᱶ एक ᭭ थान से अᭃांश 150 20’ उ देशांतर 730 34’10” पू
मᱶ दिᭃणी पूवᱮ ᳰदशा मᱶ एक ᭭ थान तक ।
दिᭃण मᱶ – अᭃांश 150 20’ उ तथा देशांतर 73034’10” पू मᱶ एक ᭭ थान से पूवᱮ ᳰदशा कᳱ ओर अᭃांश 150 20’ उ से उस
ᳲबदु तक जहां यह समानांतर अᭃांश 150 20’ उ तथा 730 53’40” पू पर तट पर िमलता हो ।
पूवᭅ मᱶ – ज़ᰛआरी नदी के सभी जल ᭃेᮢ अगाकैम के पि᳟म मᱶ - कोटािलम फेरी (फेरी तथा लᱹᳲडग ᭭ टेिजज़ को छोड़कर) अᭃांश
150 24’48” उ तथा देशांतर 730 53’26” पू एवं अᭃांश 150 24’18” उ तथा देशांतर 730 54’26” पू िब᭠ दु को जोड़ने वाली
रेखा

उ᭜ तर मᱶ – अᭃांश 150 12’ उ के समानांतर तट पर एक ᳲबदु से, पि᳟म ᳰदशा कᳱ ओर जहां समानांतर टैन फैदम लाइन पर
िमलता है ।

दिᭃण मᱶ – अᭃांश 150 5’ उ के समानांतर तट पर एक ᳲबदु से, पि᳟म कᳱ ओर जहां समानांतर टैन फैदम लाइन पर िमलता
है ।
ऊपर उि᭨लिखत सीमाᲐ मᱶ सभी ᭪ हाफᭅ तथा जलयानᲂ कᳱ आवाजाही मᱶ सुगमता के िलए अथवा प᭜ तन मᱶ सुधार, रखरखाव
अथवा प᭜ तन और इसके पᱟँच मागᲄ के सुशासन के िलए, उ᭒ च जल सूचक के भीतर अथवा उसके िबना जनता कᳱ तरफ से
बनाए गए िनमाᭅण शािमल हᱹ, बशतᱷ ᳰक वो उसमᱶ ि᭭थित िनजी संपिᱫ के अिधकारᲂ, उ᭒ च जल सूचक के पचास गज़ के भीतर
तट अथवा ᳰकनारे के ᳰकसी भाग का ᭟ यान रखते ᱟए बनाए गए हᲂ ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 14th December, 2016
G.S.R. 1137(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Indian Ports Act, 1908 (15 of
1908), read with clause (q) of section 2 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963), and in supersession of the
notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Shipping and Transport (Transport Wing), G.S.R. No. 488(E),
dated 24th May, 2000 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central
Government thereby declares that, the extent of the limits of the Port of Mormugao, for the purpose of the said
Acts, shall be as follows, namely:-
A. MORMUGAO AREA
On the North – from a point on the Coast having latitude 150 27’ 30” N and longitude 730 47’30”E in the parallel
of latitude 150 27’ 30” N due west along the same parallel point in longitude 730 32’10” E.
On the West – from the position in latitude 150 27’ 30”N and longitude 73032’10” E in South East direction to
position in latitude 150 20’ N longitude 730 34’10”E.
On the South – From the position in latitude 150 20’ N and longitude 73034’10” E due east along the parallel of
latitude 150 20’ N to a point where this parallel meets the coast latitude 150 20’ N and 730 53’40” E.
On the East – All the waters of the River Zuari, West of Agacaim- Cortalim Ferry (excluding the ferry and landing
stages) line joining the point latitude 150 24’48” N and longitude 730 53’26” E and point latitude 150 24’18”N and
longitude 730 54’26”E.

B. BETUL AREA
On the North – From a point on the coast in the parallel of latitude 150 12’N, due West to where the parallel meets
the ten fathom line.
On the West – the ten fathom line.
On the South – From a point on the coast in the parallel of latitude 150 5’N, due West to where the parallel meets
the ten fathom line.
The above mentioned limits shall include all wharves and other works made on behalf of the public for
convenience for traffic of vessels, or for the improvement, maintenance or good government of the port and its
approaches whether within or without high water mark and, subject to any rights of private property therein, any
portion of the shore or bank within fifty yards of high water mark.
