का.आ. 4040(अ).– के᭠ᮤीय सरकार, पयाᭅवरण (संरᭃण) अिधिनयम, 1986 (1986 का 29) कᳱ धारा 3

कᳱ उपधारा (3) ᳇ारा ᮧदᱫ शिᲦयᲂ का ᮧयोग करते ᱟए, के᭠ ᮤीय आᮤᭅभूिम िविनयामक ᮧािधकरण का गठन करती

है, अथाᭅत् :-

(क) सिचव, पयाᭅवरण, वन और जलवायु पᳯरवतᭅन मंᮢालय, भारत सरकार – अ᭟ यᭃ;

(ख) पयᭅटन मंᮢालय, भारत सरकार से एक ᮧितिनिध (संयु᭍ त सिचव कᳱ पंि᭍ त से नीचे का न हो) – पदेन सद᭭ य;

(ग) जल संसाधन, नदी िवकास और गंगा संरᭃण मंᮢालय, भारत सरकार से एक ᮧितिनिध (संयु᭍ त सिचव कᳱ

पंि᭍ त से नीचे का न हो) – पदेन सद᭭ य;

(घ) कृिष और ᳰकसान क᭨ याण मंᮢालय, भारत सरकार से एक ᮧितिनिध (संयु᭍ त सिचव कᳱ पंि᭍ त से नीचे का न

हो) – पदेन सद᭭ य;

(ड़) सामािजक ᭠ याय और अिधकाᳯरता मंᮢालय, भारत सरकार से एक ᮧितिनिध (संयु᭍ त सिचव कᳱ पंि᭍ त से नीचे

का न हो) – पदेन सद᭭ य;

(च) अ᭟ यᭃ या उसका funsZf'krh, के᭠ ᮤीय ᮧदूषण िनयंᮢण बोडᭅ – पदेन सद᭭ य;

(छ) पयाᭅवरण, वन और जलवायु पᳯरवतᭅन मंᮢालय, भारत सरकार मᱶ आᮤᭅभूिम कᳱ बाबत संयु᭍ त सिचव या

सलाहकार – पदेन सद᭭ य;

(ज) डॉ. असद आर. रहमानी, ᭔ ये᭬ ठ वै᭄ािनक सलाहकार, बंबई नैचुरल िह᭭ ᮝी सोसाईटी, पᭃीिव᭄ान

िवशेष᭄ – सद᭭ य;

ᮧािधकरण कᳱ अविध राजपᮢ मᱶ इस अिधसूचना के ᮧकाशन कᳱ तारीख से दो मास के िलए होगी ।

MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 14th December, 2016

S.O. 4040 (E) .– In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment

(Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), the Central Government hereby constitutes the Central Wetlands Regulatory

Authority, consisting of the following members, namely:

(a)

Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India-Chairperson;

(b)

A representative (not below the rank of Joint Secretary) from Ministry of Tourism, Government of

India- Member- ex-officio;

(c) A representative (not below the rank of Joint Secretary) from Ministry of Water Resources, River

Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India- Member- ex-officio;

(d)

A representative (not below the rank of Joint Secretary) from Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare,

Government of India- Member- ex-officio;

(e) A representative (not below the rank of Joint Secretary) from Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment,

Government of India- Member- ex-officio;

(f) Chairman, Central Pollution Control Board or his nominee, - Member- ex-officio;

(g) Joint Secretary or Adviser, dealing with the wetlands in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate

Change, Government of India- Member- ex-officio;

(h) Dr. Asad R. Rahmani, Senior Scientific Adviser, Bombay Natural History Society, expert in Ornithology-

Member;

(i)

Prof. C.K. Varshney (Retd.), 88, Vaishali, Pitampura, New Delhi-110034, Expert in Ecology- Member;

j) Dr. E.J. James, Director (Retd.), Water Institute, Karunya University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, Expert in

Hydrology- Member; and

k)

Director or Additional Director or Joint Director dealing with the Wetland in the Ministry of Environment,

Forest and Climate Change-Member Secretary.

The term of the Authority shall be two months from the date of publication of this notification in the Official

Gazette.
