सा.का.िन.1162(अ).—के᭠ᮤीय सरकार, जीवन बीमा िनगम अिधिनयम 1956 (1956 का 31) कᳱ धारा

48 कᳱ उपधारा (2) के खंड (गग) के साथ पᳯठत उपधारा (1) ᳇ारा ᮧदᱫ शिᲦयᲂ का ᮧयोग करते ᱟए, भारतीय

जीवन बीमा िनगम (सेवा समा᳙ िवकास अिधकाᳯरयᲂ कᳱ पुनᳶनयुिᲦ) िनयम,1990 का और संशोधन करने के िलए

िन᳜िलिखत िनयम बनाती है, अथाᭅत् :--

1. (1) इन िनयमᲂ का संिᭃ᳙ नाम भारतीय जीवन बीमा िनगम (सेवा समा᳙ िवकास अिधकाᳯरयᲂ कᳱ पुनᳶनयुिᲦ)

संशोधन िनयम, 2016 है ।

(2) ये 1 अग᭭ त, 2015 से ᮧवृᱫ ᱟए समझे जाएंगे ।

(3) भारतीय जीवन बीमा िनगम (सेवा समा᳙ िवकास अिधकाᳯरयᲂ कᳱ पुनᳶनयुिᲦ) िनयम, 1990 के िनयम 3

के उपिनयम (1) मᱶ ''सात वषᭅ'' श᭣ दᲂ के ᭭ थान पर ''दस वषᭅ'' श᭣ द रखे जाएंगे ।

यह ᮧमािणत ᳰकया जाता है ᳰक इस अिधसूचना को भूतलᭃी ᮧभाव देने से भारतीय जीवन बीमा िनगम के

ᳰकसी िवकास अिधकारी पर ᮧितकूल ᮧभाव पड़ने कᳱ संभावना नहᱭ है ।

ᳯट᭡पणः मूल िनयम, भारत के राजपᮢ, असाधारण, सा.का.िन. 236(अ) तारीख 19 जनवरी, 1990 ᳇ारा ᮧकािशत

ᳰकए गए थे और त᭜ प᭫ चात् सा.का.िन.812(अ), तारीख 5 अ᭍ तूबर, 2010 ᳇ारा संशोधन ᳰकए गए थे ।

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 21st December, 2016

G.S.R. 1162(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clause (cc) of sub-

section (2) of section 48 of the Life Insurance Corporation Act, 1956 (31 of 1956), the Central Government hereby

makes the following rules further to amend the Life Insurance Corporation of India (Re-appointment of Terminated

Development Officers) Rules,1990, namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the Life Insurance Corporation of India (Re-appointment of Terminated

Development Officers) Amendment Rules, 2016.

(2) They shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1^st day of August, 2015.

2. In rule 3 of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (Re-appointment of Terminated Development Officers)

Rules, 1990, in sub-rule (1), for the words “seven years”, the words “ten years” shall be substituted.

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM

It is to certified that no Development Officer of the Life Insurance Corporation of India is likely to be affected

adversely by the notification being given retrospective effect.

Note: The principal rules were published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide G.S.R. 236 (E), dated the

19th January, 1990 and subsequently amended vide G.S.R. 812(E), dated the 5th October, 2010.
