सा.का.िन. 52(अ).—के᭠ ᮤीय सरकार सरकारी बचत बᱹक अिधिनयम, 1873 (1873 का 5) कᳱ धारा 15 ᳇ारा ᮧद᭜ त शिᲦयᲂ

का ᮧयोग करते ᱟए डाकघर (मािसक आय खाता) िनयम, 1987 का और संशोधन करने के िलए िन᭥ निलिखत िनयम बनाती है, अथाᭅत:-

1. (1) इन िनयमᲂ का संिᭃ᭡ त नाम डाकघर (मािसक आय खाता) संशोधन िनयम, 2016 है।

(2) ये राजपᮢ मᱶ ᮧकाशन कᳱ तारीख से लागू हᲂगे।

डाकघर (मािसक आय खाता) िनयम, 1987 मᱶ, -

(i) िनयम 1, उप-िनयम (1) मᱶ, ''डाकघर'' श᭣ द के ᭭ थान पर ''रा᭬ ᮝीयय बचत'' श᭣ द रखा जाएगा;

(ii) िनयम 2 मᱶ खंड (क) के प᭫ चात, िन᭥ निलिखत खंड रखा जाएगा, अथाᭅत:-

“(खक) 'बᱹक' से आशय इन िनयमᲂ के अधीन खाता खोलने के िलए सरकार ᳇ारा ᮧािधकृत सावᭅजिनक ᭃेᮢ अथवा िनजी ᭃेᮢ के

वािणि᭔यक बᱹक कᳱ कोई शाखा अिभᮧेत है;”

(iii) िनयम 4 मᱶ, उप-िनयम (2) के प᭫ चात िन᭥ निलिखत अंत:᭭ थािपत ᳰकया जाएगा; अथाᭅत:-

''परंतु इन िनयमᲂ के अधीन डाकघर अथवा बᱹक मᱶ खाता खोला जाए।''

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 18th January, 2017

G.S.R. 52(E). – In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Government Savings Banks Act, 1873

(5 of 1873), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Post Office (Monthly Income

Account) Rules, 1987, namely:-

1. (1)

These rules may be called the Post Office (Monthly Income Account) Amendment Rules, 2016.

(2)

They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Post Office (Monthly Income Account) Rules, 1987, -

(i)

in rule 1, in sub-rule (1), for the words “Post Office”, the words, “National Savings” shall be

substituted;

(ii)

in rule 2, after clause (b), the following shall be inserted, namely:-

“(ba) “Bank” means any branch of a public sector or private sector commercial bank authorised by the

Government to open an account under these rules;” ;

(iii)

in rule 4, the following Proviso shall be inserted, namely:-

“Provided that the account under these rules shall be opened in post office or bank.”

सा.का.िन. 53(अ).—के᭠ ᮤीय सरकार सरकारी बचत बᱹक अिधिनयम, 1873 (1873 का 5) कᳱ धारा 15 ᳇ारा ᮧद᭜ त शिᲦयᲂ

का ᮧयोग करते ᱟए, डाकघर आवतᱮ जमा िनयम, 1981 मᱶ और संशोधन करने के िलए िन᭥ निलिखत िनयम बनाती है, अथाᭅत:-

1. (1) इन िनयमᲂ का संिᭃ᭡ त नाम डाकघर आवतᱮ जमा (संशोधन) िनयम, 2016 है।

(2) ये राजपᮢ मᱶ ᮧकाशन कᳱ तारीख से लागू हᲂगे।

डाकघर आवतᱮ जमा िनयम, 1981 मᱶ, -

(i) िनयम 1, उप-िनयम (1) मᱶ, ''डाकघर'' श᭣ दᲂ के ᭭ थान पर ''रा᭬ ᮝीय बचत'' श᭣ द रखा जाएगा;

(ii) िनयम 2 मᱶ खंड (दो) के प᭫ चात िन᭥ निलिखत खंड अंत:᭭ थािपत ᳰकए जाएंगे, अथाᭅत:-

“(कक) 'बᱹक' श᭣ द से इन िनयमᲂ के अधीन खाता खोलने के िलए सरकार ᳇ारा ᮧािधकृत सावᭅजिनक ᭃेᮢ अथवा िनजी ᭃेᮢ के

वािणि᭔यक बᱹक कᳱ कोई शाखा अिभᮧेत है;

(कख) ''डाकघर'' से भारत मᱶ बचत बᱹक कायᭅ करने वाले डाकघर और इन िनयमᲂ के अंतगᭅत खाता खोलने के िलए ᮧािधकृत

डाकघर अिभᮧेत है;”

(iii) िनयम 6 मᱶ, उप-िनयम (4) के प᭫ चात िन᭥ निलिखत उप-िनयम अंत:᭭ थािपत ᳰकया जाएगा; अथाᭅत:-

“(5) इन िनयमᲂ के अंतगᭅत डाकघर अथवा बᱹक मᱶ खाता खोला जाएगा।”

Deposit Rules, 1981, namely:-

1. (1)

These rules may be called the Post Office Recurring Deposit (Amendment) Rules, 2016.

They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Post Office Recurring Deposit Rules, 1981, -

(i)

in rule 1, sub-rule (1), for the words “Post Office”, the words “National Savings” shall be substituted;

(ii)

in rule 2, after clause (a), the following clauses shall be inserted, namely:-

“(aa) “Bank” means any branch of a public sector or private sector commercial bank authorised by the

Government to open an account under these rules;

(ab) “post office” means any post office in India doing savings bank work and authorised to open an

account under these rules;” ;

(iii)

in rule 6, after sub-rule (4), the following sub-rule shall be inserted, namely:-

“(5) The account under these rules shall be opened in post office or bank.”

1959 (46 of 1959), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the National Savings

Certificates (VIII Issue) Rules, 1989, namely:-

1. (1)

These rules may be called the National Savings Certificates (VIII Issue) Amendment Rules, 2016.

(2)

They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the National Savings Certificates (VIII Issue) Rules, 1989, -

(i)

in rule 2, after sub-rule (i), the following sub-rule shall be inserted, namely:-

“(ia) “Bank” means any branch of a public sector or private sector commercial bank authorised by the

Government to issue certificates;” ;

(ii)

in rule 6, for the words “post office”, the words, “post office or bank,” shall be substituted.
