ऄनधसूचना

नई ददल्ली, 4 जुलाई, 2017

अ.ऄ. 52(ऄ).—यतः, भारत के राष्ट्रपनत ने लोक प्रनतनननधत्र् ऄनधननयम, 1951 (1951 का 43) की धारा 12 के

ऄधीन जारी और तारीख 4 जुलाई, 2017 को भारत के राजपत्र में प्रकानित ऄनधसूचना द्वारा गोर्ा राज्य की नर्धान सभा के

ननर्ाानचत सदस्यों से यह ऄपेक्षा की है दक र्े राज्य सभा के नलए एक सदस्य ननर्ाानचत कर दें;

ऄतः, ऄब उक्त ऄनधननयम की धारा 39 की उप-धारा (1) और धारा 56 के ऄनुसरण में भारत ननर्ााचन अयोग

एतद् द्वारा:—

(ऄ) उक्त ननर्ााचन के संबंध में ननम्ननलनखत ननधााररत करता है.—

(क) नाम ननदेनित करने की ऄनततम तारीख

- 11 जुलाई 2017 (मंगलर्ार)

(ख) नाम ननदेिनों की संर्ीक्षा की तारीख

- 12 जुलाई 2017 (बुधर्ार)

(ग) ऄभ्यर्थथताएं र्ापस लेने की ऄंनतम तारीख

- 14 जुलाई 2017 (िुक्रर्ार)

(घ) र्ह तारीख, नजसको यदद अर्श्यक हुअ तो मतदान होगा,

- 21 जुलाई 2017 (िुक्रर्ार)

(ड.) र्ह तारीख नजससे पूर्ा ननर्ााचन सम्पन्न करा नलया जाएगा

- 24 जुलाई 2017 (सोमर्ार), और

(अ) 9.00 बजे पूर्ााह्न से 4.00 बजे ऄपराह्न तक का समय, ऐसे समय के रूप में ननयत करता है नजसके दौरान यदद

अर्श्यक हुअ तो, उक्त नर्ननर्ददष्ट तारीख को, मतदान होगा।

ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 4th July, 2017

O.N. 52(E).—Whereas, the President of India has, by notification issued under section 12 of the

Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) and published in the Gazette of India on 4th July, 2017,

has been pleased to call upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of Goa, to elect 1 (one)

member to the Council of States;

Now, therefore, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 39 and section 56 of the said Act, the

Election Commission of India hereby—

(A)

appoints, with respect to the said election;

(a) the 11^th July, 2017 (Tuesday), as the last date for making nominations;

(b) the 12^th July, 2017 (Wednesday), as the date for the scrutiny of the nominations;

(c) the 14^th July, 2017 (Friday), as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;

(d) the 21^st July, 2017 (Friday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and

(e) the 24^th July, 2017 (Monday), as the date before which the election shall be completed; and

(B)

fixes the hours from 9.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M., as the hours during which the poll shall, if necessary,

be taken in all the above mentioned States on the date specified above for the election.

ऄनधननयम की धारा 22 की उपधारा (1) द्वारा प्रदत्त िनक्तयों को प्रयोग करते हुए, भारत ननर्ााचन अयोग गोर्ा राज्य

सरकार के परामिा से 4 जुलाई, 2017 को भारत के राजपत्र में प्रकानित अयोग की ऄनधसूचना के ऄनुसरण में राज्य सभा के

नलए होने र्ाले नद्वर्ार्थिक ननर्ााचन के संबंध में एतद् द्वारा:—

(i)

नीचे की सारणी के स्तंभ (1) में नर्ननर्ददष्ट ऄनधकारी को ररटर्ननग ऑदिसर के रूप में पदानभनहत करता है, तथा

(ii) उक्त सारणी के स्तंभ (2) में नर्ननर्ददष्ट ऄनधकारी को ररटर्ननग ऑदिसर के कृत्यों के ननष्पादन में सहायता के

नलए, सहायक ररटर्ननग ऑदिसर के रूप में ननयुक्त करता है;

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 4th July, 2017

O.N. 53(E).—In pursuance of section 21, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1)

of section 22, of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission of India,

in consultation with the Government of Goa, hereby—

(i)

designates the officer, specified in the corresponding entry in column (1) of the said TABLE

to be the Returning Officer; and

(ii) appoints the officer, specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) of the said Table, to be

the Assistant Returning Officer to assist the Returning Officer in the performance of his

functions;

in respect of the biennial election to the Council of States, to be held in that State in pursuance of the

Notification of the President of India, published in the Gazette of India on 4th July, 2017: —
