NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 14th December, 2018

G.S.R. 1215(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (2) of Article 146 of the Constitution, the Chief

Justice of India hereby makes the following amendments to the Supreme Court Officers and Servants (Conditions of

Service and Conduct) Rules, 1961:—

I.

The following be substituted in Column No. 4 & 5 – Method of Recruitment and Experience, if any, against the

post of Librarian - Category No. 28 :—

Method of Recruitment

Experience, if any

By Direct Recruitment

OR

By promotion from amongst Assistant Librarians on the basis

of merit subject to fulfillment of prescribed qualification.

5 years relevant experience as Assistant Librarian or

in equivalent post in a Library of a recognized

University/Law Library in case of direct recruitment

OR

Minimum 5 years experience in the feeder cadre –

Assistant Librarian, in case of promotion

II.

Category No. 31 Senior Assistant Librarian be deleted.
