सा.का.जन.498 (अ).—केन्द रीय सरकार, भारतीय तार अजधजनयम, 1885 (1885 का 13) की धारा 7 द्वारा प्रदत्त
िज तयों का प्रयोग करते हुए, भारतीय तार जनयमािली, 1951 को और संिोजधत करने के जलए जनम् नजलजखत जनयम
बनाती है,अथाात्:—
1.
(1) इन जनयमों को भारतीय तार (संिोधन) जनयमािली, 2021 कहािाए।
(2) ये जनयम सरकारी रािपत्र में प्रकाजित होने की तारीख से लागू होंगे।

भारतीय तार जनयमािली, 1951 में,—
(i)
जनयम 525 के, उप-जनयम (2) के, खंड (iii) में मद(खक) के बाद जनम् नजलजखत मद को हटाया िाएगा
अथाात्:—
“(ग) असम राज्य के करबी-अंगलांग तथा दीमा हसाओ जिला तथा अरुणाचल प्रदेि के पहचाने गए
सुजिधा रजहत क्षेत्रों में मोबाइल सेिाएँ उप्लबाध कराने के जलए, भारत संचार जनगम जलजमटेड (बी एस
एन एल) द्वारा रािस्ट्ि के जनिल रूप में दकए गए पूंिीगत व्यय और प्रचालन संबंधी व्यय का जित्त पोषण

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 1st April, 2021
G.S.R. 498(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885
(13 of 1885), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Telegraph Rules,
1951, namely: —
1.
(1) These rules may be called the Indian Telegraph (Amendment) Rules, 2021.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2.
In the Indian Telegraph Rules, 1951, (herein after referred to as the said rules),
(i) in rule 525, in sub-rule (2) in clause (iii), after item (ba), the following items shall be deleted, namely: -
―(c)
For providing mobile services in identified uncovered areas of Karbi-Anglong and Dima Hasao
districts of the State of Assam and in the State of Arunachal Pradesh, Capital Expenditure and Operating
Expenditure net of Revenue incurred by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) shall be funded by the
Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF), for a period of five years from the date commencement of these
rules.‖
(ii) In the said rules, in rule 526, for the words, brackets and letters ‗‗item (a), (b), (ba), (c), (d) and (e) of clause
(iii)‖, the word brackets and letters ―item (a), (b), (ba), (d) and (e) of clause (iii)‖ shall be substituted.
