का.आ. 2073(अ).—केन्द्रीय सरकार, सहायताप्राप्त िननीय प्रोद्योजगकी (जवजनयमन) अजधजनयम 2021 की

धारा 12(1) एवं 12(3) और सरोगेसी (जवजनयमन) अजधजनयम 2021 की धारा 35(1) एवं 35(3) द्वारा प्रित्त िजि के

प्रयोग में एतद्द्वारा अजधसूजचत करती है दक सहायताप्राप्त िननीय प्रोद्योजगकी (जवजनयमन) अजधजनयम 2021 और सरोगेसी

(जवजनयमन) अजधजनयम 2021 के प्रयोिनों के जलए प्रत्येक संघ क्षेत्र के संबंध में उपयुि प्राजधकरण में संबंजधत संघ क्षेत्र के

जनम्नजलजखत अजधकारी िाजमल हैं: -

(i) स्ट्वास्ट््य और पररवार कल्याण जवभाग के संयुि सजचव के पि का या उससे ऊपर का अजधकारी-अध्यक्ष के

रूप में, पिेन;

(ii) स्ट्वास्ट््य और पररवार कल्याण जवभाग के संयुि जनिेिक के पि का या उससे ऊपर का अजधकारी-उपाध्यक्ष

के रूप में, पिेन; और

(iii) संघ राज्य क्षेत्र के जवजध जवभाग का एक अजधकारी िो उप सजचव के पि से नीचे का न हो-सिस्ट्य के रूप में,

पिेन।

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 4th May, 2022

S.O. 2073(E).—In exercise of the power conferred by Sections 12(1) & 12(3) of the Assisted

Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021 and Sections 35(1) & 35(3) of the Surrogacy

(Regulation) Act, 2021, the Central Government hereby notifies that the Appropriate Authority in respect

of each UT for the purposes of the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021 and the

Surrogacy (Regulation) Act, 2021 consists of the following functionaries of respective UT:-

(i) an officer of or above the rank of the Joint Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare

Department as Chairperson, ex officio;

(ii) an officer of or above the rank of the Joint Director of the Health and Family Welfare

Department as Vice Chairperson, ex officio; and

(iii) an officer of Law Department of the Union territory concerned not below the rank of a

Deputy Secretary as member, ex-officio.
