NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 10th May, 2022
S.O. 2182(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Section 20A of the Railway
Act, 1989 (24 of 1989)(Hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, after being
satisfied that for the public purpose, the land, the brief description of which has given in the Schedule
annexed hereto, is required for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of
Special Railway Projects, Mau-Tarighat new railway line project 51 km. including rail-cum-road Bridge at
Ghazipur in the State of Uttar Pradesh, hereby declares its intention to acquire such land.
Any person interested in the said land may, within thirty days from the date of publication of this
notification in the Official Gazette, raise objection to the acquisition and use of such land for the aforesaid
purpose under sub-section (1) of Section 20D of the said Act.
Every such objection shall be made to the Competent Authority, namely, Additional District
Magistrate (F&R) , Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh in writing and shall set out the grounds there of, and the
competent authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard, either in person or by legal
practitioner and may, after hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the
competent authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objections.
Any order by the competent authority under sub-section (2) of Section 20D of the said Act shall be
final. The land plans and other details of the land covered under this notification are available, and can be
inspected by the interested person at the aforesaid office of the competent authority.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 10th May, 2022
S.O. 2183(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of
Railway (Railway Board), S.O. No 4483(E) dated 25th October, 2021 published in Gazette of India,
Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub Section (ii) on dated 28nd October, 2021 (hereinafter referred to as the
said notification) under sub-section (i) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter

referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, declared its intention to acquire the land specified in
the Schedule annexed to the said notification for execution, maintenance and operation of the Special
Railway Project Mau-Tarighat New Railway line Project 51 Km. Railway bridge with road in the
District Ghazipur in the State of Utter Pradesh;
And, whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in the daily Hindi newspaper
“Dainik Jagran” Varansi dated 10.11.2021 & English newspaper “Times of India” Lucknow dated
10.11.2021 under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said Act;
And, whereas, not a single objection received in the office of Competent Authority in prescribed
period of 30 days from the publication in newspaper.
And, whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Competent
Authority has submitted its report to the Central Government.
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority, namely, Additional District
Magistrate, (Finance & Revenue), Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-
section (1) of section 20E of the Railways Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the Schedule annexed here to shall be acquired for the a foresaid purpose.
And, further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central
Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land
specified in the Schedule annexed here to shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all
encumbrances.
