फा. सं0. स्ट् टैंडड्सपएस ी-21पटी(एल् कोहल-4). - खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक (अल् कोहाजलक ेय) जिजनयम, 2018 में

और आगे संिोधन, जो भारतीय खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक प्राजधकरण, केंद्र सरकार के ूिासनुमोदन से, खाद्य सुरक्षा और

मानक अजधजनयम, 2006 (2006 का संख यांक 34) का धारा क2 का उ -धारा (2) के खंड (फ) द्वारा प्रदत् त िजतियय का

प्रयोग करते हुए करना चाहती है, करने के जलए इन जिजनयम का प्रारू इससे प्रभाजित हो सकने िाले सभी व् यजतियय का

सूचना के जलए उक् त अजधजनयम का धारा क2 का उ -धारा (1) का अ ेक्षा के अनुसार एतदद्वारा प्रकाजित करती है और

एतदद्वारा नोटटस ददया जाता है दक उक् त प्रारू जिजनयम र उस जतजथ से सा ददन का अिजध समा्‍ त होने के बाद

जिचार दकया जाएगा, जजस जतजथ को इस अजधसूचना को प्रकाजित करने िाले राज त्र का प्रजतयााँ जनता को उ लब् ध कराई

जाएाँगी।

यदद कोई आ ज् ा या सुझाि हो तो उसे मुख य कायसकारी अजधकारी, भारतीय खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक प्राजधकरण,

एफडीए भिन, कोटला रोड, नई ददल् ली-110002 को अथिा [email protected] र ई-मेल से भेजा जा सकता है।

उक् त प्रारू जिजनयम के संबंध में दकसी व् यजतिय से इस प्रकार जनधासटरत जतजथ तक प्रा्‍ त आ जतियय और सुझाि

र भारतीय खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक प्राजधकरण द्वारा जिचार दकया जाएगा।

प्रारू जिजनयम

1. इन जिजनयम को ‘खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक (अल् कोहाजलक ेय) संिोधन जिजनयम, 2022 कहा जा सकता है।

2. खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक (अल् कोहाजलक ेय) जिजनयम, 2018 के,-

(1) भाग-2 के जिजनयम 2.8 के उ -जिजनयम 2.8.1 के खंड (i) का जगह जनम् नजलजखत खंड रखा जाएगा, अथासत्,-

(2) भाग 5 के जिजनयम 5.5 का जगह जनम् नजलजखत जिजनयम रखा जाएगा, अथासत्,-

‘’एल् कोहलीय बीिरेज के लेबल र दक. कैलोरी में ऊजास का मात्रा को छोड़कर कोई ोषण सूचना नहीं होगी।

ऊजास से संबंजधत ऐसी घोषणा स्ट् िैजकछक होगी।”

FOOD SAFETY AND STANDARDS AUTHORITY OF INDIA

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 17th May, 2022

F. No. Std/SP-21/T(Alcohol-4).- The following draft of certain regulations further to amend the Food Safety

and Standards (Alcoholic Beverages) Regulations, 2018, which the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, with

the previous approval of the Central Government, proposes to make, in exercise of powers conferred by clause (v) of

sub-section (2) of section 92 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, (34 of 2006) is hereby published as required

by sub-section (1) of section 92 of the said Act, for the information of persons likely to be affected thereby and notice

is hereby given that the said draft regulations will be taken into consideration after the expiry of a period of sixty days

from the date on which copies of the Official Gazette in which this notification is published are made available to the

public;

Objections and suggestions, if any, may be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Food Safety and

Standards Authority of India, Food and Drug Administration Bhawan, Kotla Road, New Delhi - 110002, or may be

sent through e-mail at [email protected];

The objections or suggestions which may be received from any person with respect to said draft regulations,

before the expiry of the period so specified above, will be considered by the Food Authority.

Draft regulations

1.

These regulations may be called the Food Safety and Standards (Alcoholic Beverages) Amendment

Regulations, 2022.

2.

In the Food Safety and Standards (Alcoholic Beverages) Regulations, 2018, -

(1)

in Part 2, in regulation 2.8, in sub-regulation 2.8.1, for clause (i) the following shall be substituted,

namely,-

“(i) Single malt or Single grain whisky: Single malt or Single grain whisky is a distillate obtained

from fermented mash that uses malted barley or malted/ unmalted grain, respectively, distilled in pot

still only, and produced in a single distillery”.

in Part 5, for the regulation 5.5 the following shall be substituted, namely,-

“5.5 Alcoholic beverage shall not contain any nutritional information on the label except energy

content in K.Cal. Such declaration related to energy content shall be voluntary”.
